Hello all you lovely people.
This week I'm running way behind.
Between trying to find work (Still no luck and only 5 days left), an email that fucked up so I suddenly had some 2 months submissions to go through, helping a co-worker with his final project for school (he's almost done with his education), and general life stuff, this week has felt very, very, long indeed.
So, today you get my Wednesday blog post on a Thursday.
Today, my to-do list is so long, I'm pretty sure I wont get to do everything on it, but that's the story of the week. I've basically been pushing stuff from day to day, because my list just keeps growing.
There are a few good news though. When this post is done, I get to cross off another thing from my list *score*
Also, even if it might take me a few more weeks to find a job (I don't hope it does, but if it does) I can always look on the bright side and say; hey, more time to edit.
Now, for the interesting thing. Edits on Dragon Slayer are slow, but moving in the right direction. And I must admit that the edits are making the book even more awesome than it was.
Oh, and just because we Danes love talking about the weather. Today it snowed. It's almost March and it snowed. Actually, where my parents live, it's still snowing, though here where I live, we've gone back to the cold rain, again.
That's all for this time.
See you next Wednesday, hopefully :P
As some of you might have noticed, I've been quiet the last week on all my online media places.
But as the post title says, sometimes life sucks.
I've been laid off my day work, because of budget cuts. Just as life was starting to go my way, life kicked me in the gut. So I've been applying to jobs and dusting off resumes and CV's and stuff.
My Scottish friend think I should run for the Government, trying to be a full time politician. My slogan should be "make Denmark Viking again" and the whole campaign should basically be about taking the piss on those politicians that want to make Denmark "Danish" again. I do think though, she might have ulterior motives, because she really want me to claim Scotland as Danish again, so they once more can be part of the EU.
Maybe I should just start that developmental editing firm, I've been toying around with. I mean, I've spent the last 4 years helping authors developing their stories, and I've been doing it for free. Maybe it's about time I earned some money on it.
Anyway, if I'm a bit more quiet than normal, it's because I'm neck deep in interviews, deadlines and other "need-work-now" stuff.
I got 15 more days to find a job... wish me luck.
As those who follow me on twitter and Instagram knows, I'm working hard on editing Dragon Slayer. And while I'm editing I like to hear music (while writing I often have a movie running, but editing is more a music thing for me.)
And I might have become a bit obsessed with this guy - Rag'n'bone man.
He makes awesome music and it just makes my editing flow. The awesome thing is that he covers a pretty wide range of music. Most people right now, probably know him from this song:
And that is one of my favourites, but personally I love this one even better.
So yeah, I might have become addicted to this guy's music. But it's all good and at least I'm editing :D
Which leads me to this next thing - a short snippet.
With a cold beer in my hand, I turned around, ready to confront that damn annoying alpha. “I hope you have a good reason for your little stunt?”
A writer's life
This is the blog where a slightly crazy author writes rambling posts about everything and nothing. There are posts about cooking, books, and movies. There's funny stuff, videos, and music. And sometimes there's even snippets, updates on books and other interesting reader stuff. Because if nothing else, this writer's life is never boring.
