Yesterday it was my birthday. Yes, I turned 34, but I don't feel a year older than 33 years and 363 days ;) It was a quiet day, with just me and the kids and it was lovely.
The kids woke me up at 6 am, and they had set a breakfast table and we ate and I opened the presents from them. They got me a cat teddy, that I can "Hug when you miss Katsu" as they said. (Katsu is what they call my boyfriend who is currently living in Finland studying at university). They also got me a awesome rainbow pinata with candy, and I almost felt sad when we had to destroy it that afternoon.
While the kids were at school, I enjoy a completely selfcare day. Long shower, lots of coffee, and I managed to listen to a whole 6 hour audiobook. I played around a bit on social media and tried to keep up with all the congratulations.
When the kids got home we had coffee and cake, smashed the pinata (which was great fun even if it was sad to destroy it) and then my oldest was off to her first day in her new after school club. So me and the youngest had a fun night on the couch with pizza and movies.
And I got two absolutely beautiful bouquets of flowers delivered too.
First I got one from my parents. Since my birthday hit a workday they couldn't make it this year, so they sent me some absolutely wonderful autumn colored flowers.
And not long after another delivery guy arrived with the biggest bouquet of flowers I have ever gotten. Hehe it was so big I had to place it on the floor to get a full picture of it. As mentioned my boyfriend is in finland, which means that days like birthdays are sometimes held apart. So he sent me flowers and I have been told more surprises are to follow. Not sure what that means, but I do love surprises.
I hope you all have a wonderful week.
A writer's life
This is the blog where a slightly crazy author writes rambling posts about everything and nothing. There's posts about my books, writing and social media. Posts about cooking and reviews. And there's posts about life.
Please notice: I do not earn money on this blog. I do not have affiliated links, and I'm not paid by any product I might mention on this blog. I'm just an artist who loves to blog. If you want to support me, buying one of my books would warm my heart. If they aren't to your taste, then support another indie artist instead.
We could all need your help.
Thank you <3
