Do you ever play the game where you think, if I win the lottery I want… ??
I know the old saying that money can’t buy you happiness. Well, I’ll say that who ever came up with that saying never tried being poor. Because sure, having money wont make you happy, but being poor wont either. Being poor (or low income) is stressful.
So, if I won the lottery, here’s what I would do.
Well at first I’d probably faint or something stupid like hyperventilate and feel sick. I’d check, recheck, and then check once more, and probably wouldn’t actually believe it until the money was in my bank account. I would pay off all my dept, and make a saving account for both my kids to secure them when they move from home, so they can follow their dreams.
Then I’d buy a nice house. Not something stupidly big, because I’d feel so alone in a giant house when the kids are with their dad. But something nice, and with room enough to have guests.
I’d take my kids traveling so they can see the world. And I'd go travel with my boyfriend to see all the romantic places the world has to offer. And I'd travel to explore and meet people.
I’d go shopping for furniture. I love second hand furniture, and 95% of my furniture is second hand, but to be able to go to a store and choose the sofa I want, not the one I can afford, would be awesome.
Other than that, I would just enjoy life. Just the fact that I could go shopping for groceries and buy what I want and not what’s on sale. I guess it’s the small things that would make a difference.
Oh, and being a writer, I would get a nice office setup. I’d get big white boards, and bulletin boards on the walls for planning books. I’d have a nice desk with room enough for all my stuff (and where I don’t have to move it every time we eat) and a desk chair that doesn’t make my back go all stiff.
What’s your dreams if you won the lottery?
A writer's life
This is the blog where a slightly crazy author writes rambling posts about everything and nothing. There's posts about my books, writing and social media. Posts about cooking and reviews. And there's posts about life and the challenges I have set myself in 2019.
Please notice: I do not earn money on this blog. I do not have affiliated links, and I'm not paid by any product I might mention on this blog. I'm just an artist who loves to blog. If you want to support me, buying one of my books would warm my heart. If they aren't to your taste, then support another indie artist instead.
We could all need your help.
Thank you <3
