Today is Read me Day.
The day where we should all take time to sit down and enjoy a good book, along with a cup of coffee and maybe a cookie.
Also, can I just mention here, how hard it apparently is to find a great public domain picture of cookies, coffee, and books, without there also being a bed and naked legs on display? I mean, seriously? Luckily the great people on Unsplash ones again came to the rescue.
It is also a day where you can discover new great authors, and maybe even try out a genre you never really read before. After all, ading a bit of newness to your reading list can do nothing but widen your horizon.
So, today, I'm going to introduce two awesome indie authors, that might be new to you (The name is a link to their website)
Sloane Kennedy - Sloane is a prolific author and has more than 20 books under her belt. Her newest book hits the market this March. I'm a great fan of her Protectors series (and admit that I might have read every single book she's ever written in three months) and I'm really looking forward to the next one being published. Her new series, Pelican Bay, shows a lot of promise, and the books she writes with fellow author Lucy Lennox is worth taking note of too.
Scott Bell - Author of the amazing Yeager's Law, he is an action writer when action is best. He lives by the words "What would John Wayne do?" and his writing is filled with strong characters, that's willing to do everything to keep those they love safe, and to sacrifice everything for doing the right thing. He also has a sci-fi book under his belt, and the third book in the Yeager series is under way.
So, there you go, two new authors for you to check out.
Now, go get that cup of coffee and those cookies (very important) and enjoy a good book, on this last Monday of February.
A writer's life
This is the blog where a slightly crazy author writes rambling posts about everything and nothing. There's posts about my books, writing and social media. Posts about cooking and reviews. And there's posts about life and the challenges I have set myself in 2019.
Please notice: I do not earn money on this blog. I do not have affiliated links, and I'm not paid by any product I might mention on this blog. I'm just an artist who loves to blog. If you want to support me, buying one of my books would warm my heart. If they aren't to your taste, then support another indie artist instead.
We could all need your help.
Thank you <3
